HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS FOR SAIL
1. IBM-PC AT-compatible computer, and IBM-compatible Color Graphics
Adapter, or Monochome Adapter.
Some compatible CGA boards, especially the newer ones, do not have
the bus contention problem of the 100% compatible IBM CGA.
If this is the case for your card, you can greatly speed up the
display screen output by specifying the /S command line option.
See the command line options help screen (Enter SAIL /HELP from
the DOS command line).
The 43-line EGA version of SAIL is not available for distribution as
of this writing.
2. 512K RAM (640K recommended)
So as to handle the multiple buffers, SAIL uses all the available
memory. SAIL works best with lots of RAM (especially if you want to
edit > 10 files at once).
IBM, IBM-PC, PC-AT are trademarks of International Business Machines.
